We are very pleased to let you know about an exciting time in the history of our school.

As a result of rising numbers in Upper School the governors have been able to take the impactful decision to split the class into two, with Years 5 and 6 remaining as our Upper School class and Years 3 and 4 becoming our Middle School class.

Mrs Hurley and Mrs Humphries are overseeing the transition in order that there is no break in the excellent teaching your children have always had.  The governors will be advertising for and appointing a new teacher for our extra class and we are very excited about the impact that will be brought about on the learning and wellbeing of all our Key Stage 2 pupils through being in much smaller classes each with their own dedicated teaching team.

From Monday we welcome Miss Hennelly to our school as our interim Middle School class teacher, Years 3 and 4 met her when she taught them on their first day back in January. This is a situation which will be reviewed in light of cohort sizes and pupil needs each academic year, however our governors ensure that the first review of this will not be until Summer 2022. Because of the logistics of organising lunchtime, playtime and Worship our Key Stage 2 children will all continue to be in the same bubble.
