In our first Science of the year, Upper School were given a number of different materials to test for flexibility, hardness, transparency, permeability and magnetism. They worked together fairly and effectively to fill in a table of results to show the differences in the properties of the materials given. We got some surprising results as one group found that their 2p coin wasn’t magnetic as they had expected! This led to some good discussions about what that coin was made of.
