Some of our Upper School pupils took part in the lessons and carols service at St Peter’s Church this morning. They came to the front and each read parts of the story of the nativity. Abigail told us about Mary and Joseph’s long journey to Bethlehem and only being able to find a stable to stay in. Olivia read about the shepherds and their visit by God’s angels and finally, Alex G and Ben took it in turns to tell us all about the three magi from the East and the special gifts they brought for what they thought would be a new king.
All the children read clearly and with confidence and we are very proud of them for taking on the challenge of reading in front of a large congregation. Well done children! They certainly deserved the VERY large cookies at the end of the service!
