Our Reception children have been busy investigating length and height. They have been measuring and comparing different objects as they learn.
Here are a few photographs of a couple of their activities. In the first they collected sticks outdoors. With their sticks they compared their lengths, talked about the similarities and differences and laid them out in order from shortest to longest and vice versa. In the second and third they drew with chalk creating lines of different lengths and had fun drawing the longest lines they could! In the third activity they threw wellies seeing who could throw the furthest and compared the lengths the wellies had travelled.
