Today, Upper School used blindfolds for their outdoor challenges. We split into two groups again with one group working with Emilia and one with Mrs Hurley. Mrs Hurley’s group had to work with a partner who wore a blindfold and led them around a tricky trail just using verbal instructions. Emilia’s group played a game called Sheep in the Pen where one of the children played the farmer and their partner was a sheep who was blindfolded and needed to be led using verbal instructions into the pen. They had the added challenge of collecting items on the way to the pen. All the children worked well and demonstrated some excellent verbal skills. They all discussed the feeling of vulnerability whilst wearing the blindfold therefore a lot of trust was needed to be given to their partners for each challenge. Well done particularly to Ben who demonstrated fantastic leadership skills with his partner, Reuben. He led him very safely around the tricky trail!
