Where in the world are we?

Today the children have been using aerial photographs to investigate and develop knowledge of our local area and our school grounds. 
 

First we identified features by looking at a variety of aerial photographs taken from different areas of the world. The children learnt that aerial means from above and that objects look different from above. 
 

They looked at Inskip on Google earth, we identified landmarks they recognised and searched for some of their houses. We also looked at neighbouring villages and towns before looking at the UK, France, Spain, Germany and Italy.
