We were invited to St. Peter's Church on Sunday 14th November for the Remembrance Day service. The church was beautifully and sensitively decorated by our church flower arrangers.
Thank you so much to the children who carried our wreaths in church and laid them at the war memorial in the churchyard. We lay 2 wreaths, our second one is specifically for people who served in the Flight Air Arm which RNAS Inskip or as it was otherwise called HMS Nightjar was.
It was a very moving service and after the 2 minutes silence and the wreaths being laid, we placed 4 crosses in the graveyard. These were to mark the graves of 4 soldiers from Inskip who died in the second world war.
